Watercolors
Gary’s primary medium for his artwork is watercolor. Trained in the traditional methods by artist Muri Quan at Jacksonville University, Gary’s watercolors do not utilize white paint in the process. The white is simply that found in the paper. Many of the images shown are available in print, and the originals are available as indicated. This was inspired by where I walked Schmuppy, my white lab, every morning. I loved the way the morning light came thru the poplar trees and glistened off of the hollies. The waterfall was added through my imagination of memories from hiking in the Shenandoah National Park.

One of the seven natural wonders of the world. Visualize a tiny ant on the walking path as you obtain a true perspective. Unbelievably, there is a two lane country road (speed limit 50mph) that goes over the top!

This is the first and the smallest of seven waterfalls along a hiking trail in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The attraction here was the variety of color in the rock formations. Golds, peaches, clay and grays, along with moss covered greens created God’s palette and a beautiful picnic spot.
